CDC is working on the Rescue Course with thier current students. Though this evening has been set aside for Night Dive Training. The crew is off to Tuwanek for two dives this evening. The first is planned for early evening, while dive two will be conducted as a full on night dive.
It should prove interesting to see how everyone reacts to the black out conditions…though
everyone seem to be naturals!! Got some free time, stop down and visit everyone between dives…bring some steaks as it is anothe BBQ night!!
See you out there!

It all started lat week, while doing the Deep dive with the CDC Class….somehow, I lost my C4 light. Though I thought I had it clipped on, it would appear I simply missed the D ring and away it went.Â
Tragic yes…so Tony and I mounted a big rescue dive to recover said light. Bob, being ever optimistic felt the batteries would still be good…and it certainly would be shining bright…a beacon as it were, so we could rescue it.Well, I tell you….Tony and I entered the water….slid down into the dark cold waters, over the funnel…and down to about 145 feet or so in search of this light. Needless to say, after a week of the light sitting on the bottom, turned on…it certainly was not the beacon we had hoped for…though surprisingly after some 17 minutes on the bottom we…found it.
Afterwards, Tony took us on a nice couple of swim throughs….and some 20 – 23 minutes of deco obligation to once again break the surface…..now that is certainly an expensive light…when we count in the fuel, time, gas, and equipment…. Needless to say….it was a great dive!!
