Trimix Complete

Trimix DiveOk, so I am a little behind on posting some stories…so here I go with some catch up stuff for the blog.  I finished the Trimix course a couple weeks back.  I owe a great big thanks to Tony Holmes of Canada Dive College for all the work he has put into my training.  No matter whether it was cold, snowing, raining, or so hot that you could not breath…he was always there ready to go for me.  After spending a better part of a day mixing Trimix, 27 percent Nitrox and ensuring our oxygen deco bottles were ready to go…we were ready to set out on our dive.  Tony suggested we go to the Power Lines up the inlet for our dive….and all I have to say is….What and Amazing Dive!!!Cloud Sponges

The schedule was pretty simple really, max depth 250 feet for 15 minutes.  Our first stop started around 170…and slowly worked our way back the surface.  The dive was amazing, the sponges were huge, and visibility was around 50 feet.  Water temps were not as bad as the temps were enduring Trimixthrough the winter so our last stop was a lovely 17 minutes in mid 50 degree water temps.

Once again, a big thanks to Tony and Canada Dive College!!!

Trimix Course

Friday had the 2nd last of the Trimix Dives completed with a little trip down to 242 fsw.  Things went rather well if I do say so myself.  The plan was set, gases mixed (TMx 16/40 with deco gases Tmx 31/4 and 02).  We headed down off Tuwanek, and found our way down to the bottom depth.

The ocean bottom was muddy with some interesting rock formations….and some beautiful sponges….overall the trip was excellent!!  Thank you to Tony of Canada Dive College for all of the excellent training!
