UWE is happy to congratulate Meryl and Cameron for their successful completion of their Advenced Course. The dives completed for this specialty were Deep, U/W Navigation, U/W Naturalist, Peak Performance Bouyancy and the Boat dive. Meryl and Cameron got the opportunity to dive at 9 Mile Point, Pipers Point, HMCS CHAUDIERE and Kunichin Point.
During their training they were lucky to view huge Ling Cods, Giant Pacific Octopi, Red Jelly Fish and hundreds of other fabulous marine life found here in the Pacific Northwest!! Congrats once again!

UWE would like to congratulate our new Nitrox divers! To say that our last students were a little long in the tooth when it comes to their diving abilties would be an understatement. But, with that all being said, everyone easily completed the training, and got a couple of dives in to boot!! Sadly I missed out on them…but it sounds like they really enjoyed them!!
I hope you guys get a chance to use your new Nitrox skills on your trip over to diving the wrecks and Snake Island…wish I could join you!

UWE would like to congratulate the following students for their hard work, great sense of humor, and we have had so much fun diving with.
Cheyanne Z. just successfully completed for Advanced Open Water! Chey, is an amazing little diver, who has improved so very much from the last time I dove with her. She Did the usual, Nav and Deep dives, then wreck, PPB, and U/W photography! While doing her deep dive we have the amazing opportunity to dive at 9 Mile Point, where we encountered 4 Giant Pacific Octopi! So cool!
Lena, and Venessa, just completed their SDI Open water divers course today. They are naturals, we made it through the pool sessions with flying colors. So it was off to Tuwanek, to do their dives 1 and 2, and though visibility was short, they had no problems completing what was needed to be successful. Today we had them out on the the boat, where we dove on the Sail Boat at Tuwanek Point, and then the second dive over on
Pipers Point! Visibility was marginally better there, but we had a great swim, and found ourselves an Octopus den, though no one was home.
Once we had it back to the shop, James Z. Cheyanne’s father was there, and we were able to complete his TDI Nitrox knowledge reviews and complete his course and certify him as a Nitrox Diver! Way to go James!
Once again, congratulations to everyone for all their great work! I look forward to diving with you again soon!!

UWE is excited to announce that Ruth T. has successfully completed the PADI Open Water course. Ruth came to us as a referral from Alberta. She joined us for her 4 open water dives. We took Ruth out on a charter with Suncoast Diving, where we did our first dive at Pipers Point, and the second at 9 Mile Point. Ruth quickly showed that she is an excellent diver who is quick to master her bouyancy, and she had no problems with her skills.
Her dives 3 and 4 were completed today at Tuwanek, where the visibility was less then good. She once again did a great job. Ruth had a small problem on dive three but she quickly over came it and was successful with all of her skills, most noteably is she did an excellent on her CESA, great work Ruth!!
