UWE and Ocean Quest Dive centre went out on Sea Dragon Charters today and had an amazing time! We had a total of 16 people, and Ocean Quest had the boat to ourselves. We were out to have our Divemasters train for leading dives from a boat. Overall everyone did a great job. I am pretty sure everyone learned something new, specifically how to keep groups together.
As always Jan and Kevin from Sea Dragon Charters did a fantastic job, with very professional work on the ocean. We dived the Canyons, and another great wall dive with some spectacular live. Visibility was kind of short, but it was still great diving! We want to congratulate Scott for completing is Peak Performance Buoyancy class.
If you are interested in going out diving let us know, as you certainly can not go wrong diving with Sea Dragon Charters!
UWE and Ocean Quest Dive Centre is very excited to announce Jason R. has successfully completed his PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course. We met Wednsday night and went into some indepth discussion and teaching so we could get Jason tuned in for the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course.
Friday we headed out to Whytecliff Park where we practased efficent fin kicks, hovering, trim and control. Jason quickly learned Buoyancy in a still position is far more difficult then what he originally thought. He also learned that there is a ton of things to see at Whytecliff, when you slow down and actually investigate the life around you.
Jason great work on your PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course! You did a great job!!
[singlepic id=236 w=320 h=240 mode=watermark float=left]UWE and Suncoast Diving wants to congratulate Carl S for his successful completion of the PADI Night Diver Specialty and his Peak Performance Buoyancy courses.
Monday and Tuesday of this week has seen a flurry of diving. Carl, signed up for the Night Divers course, but while here decided he had interest in the Peak Performance Buoyancy course, so we set that up and ran both courses concerrently. Mondays dives had us out at Tuwanek. Our first dive of the day had us working on the PPB course. We did weight checks, and then it was under water we headed. We practiced hovering, not only on our stomaches facing the ocean bottom, but head down, feet up…then head up feet down. Carl was equal to the task for all skills that were covered.
On dive two, we headed out for our first night dive for Kyle, and second one for Carl. The dive went off with out a hitch, and both students did and excellent job in what was a reduced visibility night dive.
On day two, we decided we would head out to Pipers Point for our night dive! Yes you got it….Octopus Encounter!! Our night dive was amazing! We had an encounter at about 95 feet, and the little guy was hidden way back in a small crack.
Great diving and great training! Want to get out and night dive….why not take the PADI or SDI Night Diver Specialty, interested just send me an email…and lets get out diving!!
